Why we can say "this one fits you"
We compare each program's conditions against the profile you register, across six axes. The reasoning — and every accuracy improvement we've made — is published here.
Scoring axes
Six axes, one score
Scores are out of 100. A higher score means more conditions line up.
Industry
If a program names its target industries and yours isn't one of them, we don't show it. Programs open to all industries are scored separately.
Region
Judged across three levels: nationwide / prefecture / municipality. Municipality-limited programs are matched down to your city, ward, town or village.
Company size
We check employee and capital ceilings. Programs with no ceiling are scored modestly as "you may apply".
Support theme
Whether the program's theme (DX, energy saving / green, startup) matches the areas you care about.
Requirements
Whether you meet what the program demands — wage-increase plans, revenue decline, and so on.
Certifications
For programs that require a certification (e.g. a management innovation plan), holding it earns points.
Additional points
Matching intended uses (equipment, sales channels, training…) and programs aimed at women, young or senior founders also earn points — capped, so a score can't be inflated by bonuses alone.
Our principle
"No information" never means "you qualify"
Automatically rewarding programs that don't publish their conditions would push irrelevant results to the top. We give almost no points to axes we can't actually judge.
- If a program names target industries or regions and you clearly don't fit, we don't show it at all.
- Where a municipality name is ambiguous (e.g. Fuchu = Tokyo or Hiroshima), we keep the program with a "please verify" note rather than excluding it — so nothing is silently dropped.
- Program data is collected and refreshed automatically every day, and closed programs drop out of the list on their own.
Confidence indicator
Two programs with the same score aren't equally certain — it depends on how much the program actually discloses. We show a confidence level based on how many axes we could judge.
